Golf is very popular amongst many visitors to Mallorca, and the Alcanada Golf courses is situated just north of the Port of Alcudia. For further information click here.

Many hotels in Alcudia have private tennis courts and as a non-resident you can often use the facilities - but ask nicely! There are also tennis courts and all other sport facilitites at the sports ground, which is shown on the map. For you top quality players there is a tennis club adjacent to the Eden Logo Aparthotel.

Being a seaside resort, water pursuits are very popular and there are many activities like water skiing, surfing, scuba diving and fishing available to you. One word of warning, there are plenty of fish in the harbour area but you are not allowed to fish (or swim) in that area.

For those of you who want more adventurous water pursuits then there is "Winds and Friends" on the beach in front of the Sunwing Hotel. They offer windsurfing, catasiling, normal sailing and kitesailing and can be contacted via their website at www.windfriends.com

Windsurfing and Kite Sailing are very popular in the Bay of Pollensa which is between Alcudia Old Town and Pollensa. Facilities are available from the beach area.

There is a Water Park which is also shown clearly on the map. Known as Hidropark, it is open 10:30am each day from 1st May to 31st October. The cost is 22.90 euro for adults (12 years and above), Children (3-11) 16.90 euro. Children under 3 are free. There is also a supergolf course withing the complex. To check up to date prices visit their website at www.hidroparkalcudia.com

Nearly all bars in town show live sporting events on TV, with Premiership, Champions League and UEFA Cup matches dominating the screens from August to May. And don't forget, most bars show a LIVE Premier League game every Saturday afternoon - a luxury you don't get 'back home.'

One bar we would recommend to watch 'the match' in is The Foxes Bar on the main road from the Port of Alcudia to Muro - next to the Delfin Azul Hotel. They serve great food, are very friendly and were voted No.1 out of 103 Port Alcudia restaurants by TripAdvisor in 2012, and was rated the second best in all of Mallorca.

Did you ever want to be John Wayne when you were a kid ? You’ll hit the cowboy trail at Rancho Grande, the largest horse ranch on Mallorca, where you’ll enjoy a taste of “Wild West” life surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery on the island.

Saddle up and experience the breathtaking scenery on horseback or if you prefer wheels to hooves then join the wagon train that drives along the local trails.

After time on the trail enjoy the Rancho barbecue with sangria (or soft drinks) as you chill out to the sounds of the cowboy guitar. Towards the end of the evening you will even be invited to join in the line dancing with the cowboys !

Be transformed into cowboys and cowgirls – whatever your age or level of riding you’ll enjoy this excursion. You can either book in your hotel or online at: www.ranchograndemallorca.com
